Understanding The Background Of Tamara De Lempicka Paintings | Tamara De Lempicka Paintings

Tamara Lempicka was a prominent Polish artist who lived her entire working career in the US and France. She is perhaps best known for her exquisitely crafted Art Deco paintings of the rich and elite, and her finely stylized nudes of the common woman. Her work was often considered “Picasso in Polish.” Her style was often referred to as “Classical Expressionism” by many critics, and she is often called one of the world's top painters of her time.

In her early years, the work of her was considered very “modern art.” As her career progressed, however, it soon became clear that her style had much more in common with the traditionalist style of Italian painters like Caravaggio or Giorgio Vasari than it did with the Abstract Expressionism style of artists such as Salvador Dali or Georges Braque. Her subjects also tended to be of an older age.

As her career progressed and she developed her artistic talents, her paintings became more stylized, but not less artistic. She achieved this by combining the skills of a skilled interior designer and a talented artist. Her paintings had become very detailed and stylized, but she still knew how to make them attractive to a general audience. Her artwork often uses a combination of color and form to create an overall effect, rather than being strictly focused on one or two elements.

Tamara Lempicka was born in Poland, and her family immigrated to the United States when she was quite young. Her artistic talents were discovered when she was young, but they remained hidden for several years until she came to the attention of a famous American painter named Paul Durand. At some point, she left Durand's studio in Paris and began traveling through Europe on a painting journey.

Throughout her travels, she met many notable painters, including Picasso in Paris, Pablo Picasso in Spain, and Salvador Dali in Italy, but she always returned to Europe where her paintings would most likely end up. In France, she met the famous German impressionist Renzo Rossellini. who encouraged her to move on to Italy and become more involved in the world of painting and to create more realistic style paintings that had a more realistic quality.

A decade later, she moved to New York and settled in a house in Manhattan, where she began creating more realistic works, including portraits and landscapes. The style of these landscapes and portraits was very similar to the style she had begun with in Poland, yet with more refined colors and shapes and textures. These paintings were more akin to the works that she had done in France, but still showed a touch of European style and culture.
