Art Deco stencils are one of the easiest way to get started with creating a stencil from your home, office or anywhere else you'd like. All you need to do is get a high quality printer and a piece of paper, you can use any size sheet as long as it's paper. What you want to do first is get an outline of what you want to print on the paper, this is why it's important to take measurements and put things down so that you have something that you can look at later on if you need help. Once you've done that, go ahead and find the top portion of the paper.
Use a paint pen to create a very thin line going across the top of the paper, it should just be enough to get the outline. Then start drawing around the top of the outline until you get to the point where there is nothing left. When you get to that point you will want to transfer the outline onto the sheet of paper, be sure to go back over it so you don't miss anything.
When you're done transferring your stencil, you want to take a piece of tape and use it to wrap the stencil around the outside of the piece of paper. This will give you a nice smooth surface to paint your design over.
Now you can choose how many different sizes you want to stencil onto the sheet of paper, be careful not to go overboard because you don't want to end up with pieces that are too small or too big. It's also important not to get too close to the edges of the paper because it could look messy. Once you are satisfied with the size, it's time to move on to the process of putting ink into the stencil.
Using the ink, just wet the tip of the pencil and place it at the edge of the stencil and gently press down. You'll want to make sure that the ink stays in the stencil and then slowly move it out. If you want a more uniform color, then it's recommended that you just use your stencil for painting.
Also be sure to be gentle when you are getting the ink in the stencil. You don't want to damage the paper or the ink, so be sure to keep them in good shape. You will most likely have to clean up the edges of the artwork afterwards by wiping it down with a sponge. This is where it will get messy, so make sure to keep that in mind before you begin to work on the artwork, but it's also important to make sure that you clean up all the dust and debris.
