Drawing Ambiance: Alvin Boyarsky and The Architectural Society. This exhibit features works by internationally famous architects whose names are familiar to most people, including John Hejduk, Dean of The Cooper Union School of Art and Design, former Dean of Cooper University School of Law, Michael Webb, and… Albert Gallatin, designer of such buildings as the Gallatin House and Gallatin College. The exhibit runs through June 25 at the Cooper Union Museum, located at 495 Morningside Avenue in New York City.

As an architect, Alvin Boyarsky brings a wealth of knowledge to the field of architecture and urban planning. Boyarsky's career spans decades, with many awards to his credit. His award-winning book, “Toward a More Serene City,” is a guide for the preservation of cities. “The Architecture of Everyday Life” is a primer on how architecture shapes our daily lives.
His artistic vision is most clearly seen in the work of architecture. He was the inspiration for the design of the New York Public Library (NYPL), which he designed with the architect Bernard Tschumi and Frank Lloyd Wright. His other notable works include the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York City, the International Museum of Architects in Paris, and the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. In the last few decades, he has worked on several architectural masterpieces in the United States, ranging from the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., to the John Hancock Center in Denver. His design of the newly redesigned museum in Barcelona drew worldwide attention, while in the United States, his design of the new library at Cooper Union drew rave reviews.
