The architect, artist, and musician, Michelangelo were born at Rome's city wall, in what is now known as the Casa d'Angelo, near the Santo Domingo church. Michelangelo Di Lodovico Buonariro Simoni, also known as Michelangelo, was a talented Italian sculptor, artist, writer and poet of the Renaissance era, born in the city of Florence, Italy.
Born into a wealthy, prominent family, Michelangelo would grow up and study arts. As an adolescent, he spent time in Milan under the tutelage of the famous artist, Michelangelo Sforza, and studied many of the same things. In time, Michelangelo would also move to Rome, where he would be taught to sculpt by his cousin, Giacomo Ballaino. His skills and talents would become recognized when he was invited to Rome's Academy of Fine Arts, where his works were exhibited to the public and eventually brought him to Venice, where he would work as an artist.
From the time he returned to Rome, Michelangelo continued to work as an artist. He would create sculptures for many of the greatest architects, painters and musicians of his time. His sculptures were renowned for their incredible beauty, as well as for their intricate, artistic detail, which would make them a favorite choice of most famous artists.
Michelangelo's most famous works are the famous 'The Creation of Adam' and the 'David' statue. These two statues can still be seen today, in the Vatican museum in Rome.
Michelangelo also contributed to the city's culture in many ways. He was the first artist to introduce marble as a building material in Rome, which he first used for the roofs of buildings. His contributions to architecture helped pave the way for other notable architects, such as Julius Caesar, Michelangelo worked with them to design the Pantheon, the Temple of Peace, and the Temple of Saturn, among other architectural wonders of Rome. His work also provided inspiration to many Renaissance painters, including Michelangelo Pisano.
Much of Michelangelo's fame comes from his sculptures, most notably the 'David' statues. In many ways, these are some of the most popular art pieces in the world today, as they portray the beauty and richness of life in Italy, the beauty of the times and the beauty that has been lost over time.
Today, much of his work is available for viewing. In many cases, a visit to the museum in Florence where he lived, and worked can lead one to a variety of items related to this great contribution to modern art.
In his day, many people think of Michelangelo as being a genius, and perhaps they would agree with such a description of their famous sculptor. While he may have been a genius, he also had some major flaws. Like any great artist, he had his moments of brilliance, but also had his moments of insanity. This is why he had so many paintings destroyed.
One of the reasons that many people think of him as having great paintings is because of the 'Genesis of Adam' and the 'Last Judgment'. Both of these works, while not perfect, represent the great achievements of Michelangelo as an artist, and are still highly popular paintings today, thanks to their quality and originality.
Many original paintings, on the other hand, were destroyed by their owners when they were stolen. Many times, owners would simply refuse to pay for the painting, which would result in the artist destroying the painting, either deliberately or accidentally. In some cases, this might even cause the painting to be destroyed entirely and never to be seen again.
Some people would question whether or not Michelangelo was really a great artist, because he didn't take much interest in his own work, unlike other great artists of his time. However, the fact is that it is said that he was able to produce so many masterpieces, despite the fact that he didn't do a great deal of research, in part due to the fact that he didn't use as much knowledge as other artists.
While he wasn't the best artist that ever lived, he was certainly one of the most famous of his time. Today, Michelangelo architecture is a major part of most cities throughout the world, as many people take pride in the beautiful work of this great artist.
